
Nickova Behling
Lead Artist and Director of Artahead
Nickova is a visual artist using a mixed media approach with paint and photography. As the founder of Artahead, her focus is to provide opportunities for people to engage in the visual art process including adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities. Nickova has initiated several community arts projects such as Exploration Phase 2 and Following Shanks Pony (artists led walk) in collaboration with other artists, to enhance mutual professional development and skill sharing opportunities.

Michael Corlett
Artist and Facilitator
Michael Corlett is a visual artist who primarily uses painting and drawing for his figurative work. He is a member of the Sussex County Arts Club and teaches life drawing skills and has exhibited his own work in the Open Studio Group exhibition for Brighton Festival. Michael has lectured part time at Sussex Downs College on the Inclusive Arts Practice “Access to Art” course. His facilitation work has mainly involved working with organisations that facilitate the arts for people with learning disabilities such as Carousel and Grace Eyre in Brighton. Michael is currently the arts project worker at The Grace Eyre day centre, which includes enabling artwork for exhibition during the Brighton Festival.

Jono Retallick
Artist and Facilitator
Jono is a multi-disciplinary artist primarily working in metal sculpture and installation. He applies his approach to community based arts and art therapy; facilitating in mental health provisions, schools and community groups.
Since 1999, Jono has been working as a session leader for Creative Response, an arts organisation based in Surrey and West Sussex. Through his knowledge and experience, he aims to provide direction and stimulus to facilitate the creative development of participants who experience mental distress.
